Description
At an altitude of 1650 m locating at the edge of the side of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, Sapa is one of the most picturesque and tranquil locations in all of Vietnam. Once a French hill station, the area is home to number of ethnic minority communities including the Black H’mong and Red Dzao, among others. Sapa’s breathtaking beauty comes in the form hills, valleys, mountains, streams and waterfalls, not to mention the warmth of the locals. One of all the particular interests to visitors is the daily activities of the tribal people of the area which are on display at the markets and in various surrounding villages.
A couple of the days in this hilly paradise will make you feel refreshed and a real appreciation for Vietnam’s north. Sapa and its surroundings offer particularly rich ground for trekking. The natural beauty of the area is unparalleled and can be seen in rich greenery, gorgeous waterfalls and the unique ethnic minority villages that dot the countryside. An afternoon’s hike through this area can be a truly enlightening experience.
Itinerary:
The night before 8.30 pm, we pick you up at your hotel and take you to Hanoi Train Station

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa ( B, L, D) |

Our guide meets you at Lao Cai train station and departs for Sapa by minibus. Arriving in Sapa mid – morning, you’ll check in the hotel, have breakfast and some time |

After lunch, our guide takes you to visit two Black H’mong villages and a waterfall. There you’ll have a chance to see the hydroelectric power station built be the French. Then we’ll be back to Sapa for dinner. In the evening, you’re free to do as you wish, you can explore the town of Sapa and we highly recommend a stop at the Love Market ( only on Saturday night) |

Day 2: Sapa – Hanoi ( B, L ) |

After breakfast, our guide takes you to the villages populated by H’mong and Dzao people, respectively called Lao Chai and Ta Van |

You’ll have lunch either with an ethnic minority family or on the way back to Lao Cai to catch a night train back to Hanoi. We arrive in Hanoi the next morning at 4.00 pm |
